Ange Karume
Ange Karume is a public health specialist with experience working with the primary health care and private sectors on immunization in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC). Her competence includes research, Social and Behavioral Change Communication and stakeholder management. She is currently leading the Demand Side Incentives project in DRC which aims at improving immunization outcomes in the country. Ange has experience in managing health programs, particularly focused on immunization, HIV, and TB in DRC. She played key roles in supervising routine immunization activities, conducting epidemiological surveillance, and supporting the implementation of quality supplementary immunization activities. Ange has actively participated in several vaccination campaigns serving as a supervisor, independent monitor, and investigator, to ensure campaign effectiveness as well as reaching hard-to-reach communities. She holds a Bsc in Public Health and an MPH with a specialization in Epidemiology and Disease Control.
